Grief Accompaniment / Grief Counselling
Grace Andren said know that
Grief is by far the most profound display of Love’.
The five stages of grief are denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance or hope. These stages are very fluid, and we can find ourselves moving back and forth between them. The grief we now know is not a one-size-fits-all process. It is individual to each of us and our journey will be filled with peaks and valleys, tidal pools and tsunamis.
Grief Counselling
Our grief is much like the ocean as it comes in waves to ebb and flow like the tide. Things might be going well and then out of the blue a scent, a song, a photograph triggers a memory and we are drowning yet again.
There seems to be no end to this grief, and we wonder will there ever be a time when we can say to ourselves today I am done with grief. At some point, our grief has become a part of who we are.
Grief accompaniment can help us to understand how we are feeling, teach us how to be gentle with ourselves and give ourselves permission to feel joy, to laugh and to live during this time of great pain and change.
